Investor Relations 2.0 is HERE; Someone is getting it!

Today, I received a link to YouTube for a CEO video of a publicly traded company. I thought, Oh no, here we go again, another CEO video. There have been a few of those done over the last few years and most of them are about as exciting as watching a cactus grow. Most have been abysmal and embarrassing to watch.

I opened the link anyhow and watched Gregory D. Evans, CEO of LIGATT Security International (OTC, Pink Sheets: IGTP). What a refreshing show! Like him or not and right or wrong the man does have something that is missing from the marketplace these days: PASSION!

Most microcap market participants are not even aware of Web 2.0 let alone Investor Relations 2.0… Mr. Evans is doing something that the CEOs of all successful companies will have to do: He is delivering the message in a no-BS fashion directly to the investment community. He clearly understands IR 2.0.

Now, there are going to be a lot of people that don’t like Mr. Evans… but then again, in this new world, there are going to be a lot of people that are going to invest in his company because he is proactive and is not afraid to get in front of the camera and be himself.

As I have blogged and bloviated about so many times over recent months, there is a brand new world with brand new opportunities for those that will keep their eyes and minds open. Change is occurring exponentially. This exponential change will continue to increase exponentially. Before too long, many microcap companies will find themselves hopelessly behind in a strange and alien world that is no longer recognizable.

I would strongly suggest that management teams follow Mr. Evans lead and get out there and start addressing their shareholders and the investment community.
